We believe in creating meaningful safe space music production experiences that inspire youth to overcome trauma and adversity.
What is YMG?
YMG is a music production and business bootcamp for youth that teaches how to make beats, engineering, vocal recording, performance as well as music publishing, marketing, content creation, and distribution. Youth also engage in life building sessions with topics around managing trauma, the importance of having integrity, relationships building, and maintaining strong moral character.
Our Mission
YMG’s mission is to provide a fun, safe, and creative music production experience that allows youth to express themselves freely as well as heal from any impact from trauma. Our goal is to create experiences that will ignite their own personal passions as well as encourage focus, timeliness, follow through, and teamwork.
Impact of Music Programs
A poll was taken by Harris Interactive stating that 96% of school principals feel a music program motivates students to stay in school. (Source: Harris Interactive Poll, 2006).
99.2% of parents find when their child becomes involved in a music program, the parent/child relationship improves. They also find behavior, communicative and social skills become more positive. (Source: Board of Studies, New South Wales Australia, 2004)

Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our organization’s goals and provide supports to keep youth safe and complete with resources. We provide food and/or snacks at every session as well as provide hygiene kits for our youth. Your generous donations will help fund our mission.
